I gave in and started a blog!

I've been told that I should share the stories of the crazy/embarassing things my two preschool-age boys do.  This will also be a fun way to document the life of my family before the years fade those funny memories away.  I hope that I can keep up with the posts, so we'll see.

A little background for those of you new to my world...
My husband, Kevin, and I met online (yes I said online) around 1998.  It wasn't an eHarmony thing, just two youngsters goofing off in chat rooms on AOL.  I was in Texas, he was in Pennsylvania.  A girl halfway across the country wouldn't get him into any trouble (ha ha).  Kevin got a job in Virginia after college and we continued to keep in touch.  Come winter 2001, I finally gave him my phone number and heard the voice of the guy I had been talking to via e-mail, letters, and IM.  He wanted to visit me and I agreed to show him around.  Kevin was unhappy at his job in Virgina and was looking to move to either Texas or Colorado.  It was initially the excuse for a vacation/scoping the area for job availablilty.  Kevin flew to DFW in July and I greeted him with my dad in tow (just in case he was an ax murderer).  I was 19 and he was 22.  Needless to say, we clicked.  In October 2001, Kevin followed his heart (totally him) and threw caution to the wind (which is totally NOT him) and moved here with a loan and no job.  I couldn't be happier to have him here with me!  We got engaged in August 2003 and after I graduated college, we married on May 14th, 2005.

Then came the boys...
Kevin and I wanted to start a family in the first couple of years of our marriage.  After several months of trying, exactly a year after our wedding, I became pregnant.  Both of us had a feeling I was carrying a boy and sure enough, from the 20-week ultrasound, there was no doubt that little being in my belly had a pee pee.  How the heck was I going to raise a boy?  I'm an only child and had ZERO experience with boys!

On January 23rd, 2007, my water broke while I was in bed (almost two weeks before my due date) and 24 hours later, Logan James was born, big feet and all!

We wanted another one (and I actually enjoyed being pregnant), so we started trying again when Logan was 11 months old assuming it would take awhile to get pregnant again.  I got pregnant the first try!  We found out another boy was on the way and I was officially outnumbered.  Collin Matthew arrived Labor Day Weekend on August 31st, 2008.  I had been on modified bed rest because of "threatened pre-term labor" for 5 weeks prior to his arrival and was beyond thankful that he was full-term at birth.  I had two adoring "mommy fans" and our family was complete!
